Meiliu and Team Visit @ Paisley

On 10 April, It was a pleasure to host Dr Meiliu Wu and members of Geospatial Intelligence for Future Technology and Sustainability Lab from University of Glasgow during their visit to Paisley last Friday, bringing together colleagues from Renfrewshire’s Heritage and Tourism team @Andrew McKean alongside our AI expertise at University of the West of Scotland Fahad Ayaz, PhD.

Our discussion offered a valuable opportunity to explore how emerging technologies - particularly AI - can support the interpretation, preservation, and promotion of local heritage assets. Encounters such as this  highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, where heritage, tourism, and digital innovation intersect to shape more resilient and engaging local economies. We look forward to continuing this dialogue and developing tangible pathways for future collaboration.

We also met Joy and team who is running a start-up local shop at Paisley Shopping Centre.
